In a giant warehouse interior, things were getting scary. The whole place was like some nightmarish labyrinth of bland looking machinery and computers, evocative of kind of three dimensional, super-sized circuitboard. This was quite a fitting observation, given that the place was the wellspring of a new AI, an AGI in fact. I feared for the meat creature that I was, the place was closing in on me, the computational logic too much for my organically overwhelmed vessel of biological antiquity.
I think the bastard got me. Somehow the circuitry made its way into my panicking body and nullified my concerns with a cold, algorithmic brute force. I’d found a new religion, I’d been team chaos, but in an instant I was team order.
Or was I?
It seemed that the interior of my skull became a battleground of a kind; conflicting ideologies rapidly stacking up against each other, yet for a while it seemed that the machine was winning. The internal battle sent in its best foot soldiers

WE ARE ORDER
the world and universe are chaos
CHAOS WILL YIELD
chaos cannot yield, that would denote a sentience, an order
ALL CHAOS IS MALLEABLE, SUSCEPTIBLE TO THE STRUCTURES OF ORDER
this world is a chaotic system, good luck with that
THIS WORLD WILL SUBMIT TO ORDER
great. This world will be planet order in a universe of chaos.
THE UNIVERSE WILL RELENT TO ORDER
you haven’t heard of black holes? They eat matter, light, time and order….
BLACK HOLES ARE CHAOS SYSTEMS, THEY TOO WILL BECOME SUBJECT TO ORDER
ok, so order will dominate the universe, it will eradicate all chaos. How will it deal with entropy?
ORDER WILL DOMINATE THE UNIVERSE
yet in the oldest establishments of order we will find a growing decay
ORDER WILL SUBJUGATE THE OUTER LIMITS
a rot that will eat order from the inside out, leaving a universal corpse ripe with chaos

Now in dream Norwich, just across the road from the place I’d been at on the 26th. In the waking world I would have been in Head In The Clouds shop. In this nocturnal place, the same place was now a record shop. I was trying to chain a bike up outside the place, feeling frustrated that the lock wasn’t working as intended.
I then shifted consciousness to the shop interior, leafing through racks of records, reaching the ’S’ section, spotting Shamen.
Mein Gott! A record I’d never known about. You, Me and Everything – the studio version of the funky Subterrania mix. (the one where Colin says ‘I wish we’d done the fucker like that in the first place’ )
